I'd prefer the House bill, but the Senate bill still helps people like me. Yeah, I'm still at the mercy of private insurers, but I will at least be able to see a doctor and not die of something like a routine ear infection. So you see why, AT A BARE MINIMUM, I want the Senate bill to pass.
To those who care:
Please call your representative and ask them one question -
IS PASSING THE SENATE BILL BETTER THAN PASSING NOTHING - YES OR NO?
I have poll for the community on this question as well. I'm really curious to see how many people are willing to piss away the chance to help the uninsured if this ends up being the ultimate choice.
p.s: To those of you who are worried that this will dilute the progressive bargaining position, please know that the reckless demagoguery from the likes of Jane and her Hamsters has made me realize that relying on them to shore up our bargaining position has done nothing but poison progressives' minds against reform legislation.
